Get Involved
Earth Day in Mt. Lebanon is an all-volunteer initiative. Our community is what makes the event a success. Check out some ideas below on how you can get involved.
1. Host a Table
If any schools, environmental groups, community service organizations, or others would like to host a table showcasing environmental initiatives we’d be delighted to have them! Possible subjects include school gardens, sustainability, health and wellness, recycling, upcycling, earth-friendly art projects, or whatever you can dream up. The more the merrier here! Email mtlebogreen@gmail.com for more info.
2. Volunteer!
We would love help for set up and take down, as well as throughout the day on 4/28. If you’re interested, please fill out a volunteer form. This counts for community service hours.
3. Plan Activities for Kids
This year, we’re excited to engage our younger community members even more!
We’re thinking:
-
Recycling games
-
Upcycled bags
-
Chickens and goats
-
Student musical groups
-
Scout troops
-
Clothing and sports equipment swap
-
Bingo cards to collect stamps from booths and win prizes
-
ANYTHING that will really bring kids and their parents out to learn and get motivated
☑️ Please let us know what else you’d like to see!
4. Be a Sponsor or Vendor
Those interested in sponsoring the event can find a Sponsorship Form and those interested in being a vendor can contact LeboGreen at mtlebogreen@gmail.com. For more information, updates, and a virtual Earth Day, head to the site: https://www.mtlebogreen.org/earthday or the Facebook Mt Lebanon Earth Day 2024 event.
5. Spread the Word
Please help us spread the word about this year’s event! We’re expecting approximately 50 vendors, with information on alternative and renewable energy, electrification, mobility, electric vehicles (there to explore!), composting, recycling, ways to save energy and reduce costs, energy efficiency, healthy soil information and native gardening, air quality, water quality, and more. Sharing our facebook event is an easy way to help.
